Child(ren) Held Hostage

I hope this Blog will prove helpful in the recognition and useful in deterrence of Parental Alienation.

I will undoubtedly be using this blog in part as a therapeutic venue. I will also use this blog as a communication portal to my children if they should choose to use it.

"Parental Alienation is about parents who place their own selfish needs above those of their defenseless children and in doing so, they deny them their right to love and be loved by both parents. Alienators do not fit the stereotype of the deficient and ill-equipment parent. Instead, these parents are generally articulate, resourceful, and competent in all other aspects of their lives – except in the realm of parenting. In fact, these individuals might easily be mistaken for ideal parents, except to the properly informed, because they profess love and concern for their children. What sets these individuals apart from other dysfunctional parents is their overwhelming commitment to meeting their own needs first. In doing so, they destroy the relationship their children have with the other parent – at whatever cost. ” Dr. Reena Sommer - Internationally Recognized Divorce and Custody Consultant

Another adventure on the horizon!

Everyday is another adventure. We are grateful that we have each other and that we love the same adventures that we embark on daily. Everyday is such a joy. I pray that the both of you will find that sweet spot that empowers you to make decisions to live a more fulfilled life. While I have personally lived through much turmoil to get to where I am today, I am grateful to have survived  to enjoy another awesome day!
I try not to regret where I have been and I look so forward to where I'm going. I suppose if I shared any regrets with you, I would say that I regret not having made decisions sooner that led me to the life I live today.
We meet and talk to people from all walks of life. Most all of those people also say "I am too old to do that now", and "I/We wish we would have done that earlier in life"! "I/We want your life"! I/We wish we had your guts"! We are so lucky that we learned earlier than most how to live a more fulfilled life.

There will be more rough roads along the way. Thank GOD for walking beside us on the shoulder.

Take care and be safe in whatever you do and remember I/We miss and love you.

On with another adventure starting NOW!
